Everyone Experiences Miracles

As Emmanuel has done for many years past, we are observing Lent with fellowship suppers of soup and buns each Wednesday, followed by hearing our fellow belivers’ testimony.

On Wednesday we enjoyed a rich vegetable soup from Edith Kanderka, another from Darlene Jungans, and a third pot of soup from Elizabeth McDougall; with buns, of course; and a dessert of pear-butter pies.

Shelley Bacheldor, who is also our Director of Education, told how throughout her life, God has opened doors that the world had closed to her, creating unexpected possibilities that have allowed her to serve in the community and eventually brought her back to Emmanuel to become more engaged in our fellowship and continue her life of service here among her brothers and sisters in Christ.

Soup-and-Buns suppers start at 6:30 in the Narthex (foyer) at 3003 28 St SE.
