We Can Learn So Much from our Children!

Recently on a Sunday morning, I was reminded how much our children can teach us. A little one in the Story Room asked if she could play with the ‘board people”. That’s her name for the flannel board where we share various Bible stories. A very appropriate name in the eyes of a 3 year old! Then she asked if we could combine six parables together onto the board. Why not. . . .It was like reading several books of the Bible consecutively!

Back in the sanctuary after our Story Room time, I watched as this same little girl went up to the altar to receive Communion with her family. She knelt at the railing, held out her tiny hands, and waiting so trustingly for this blessing from Christ. Such a beautiful, heart warming sight. We can learn so much from our children, and be reminded daily to come to the Lord with the heart of a child.
