Thanksgiving at Emmanuel

Emmanuel celebrated Thanksgiving this year with two holiday meals: a Thanksgiving breakfast on Saturday October 12, and a Thanksgiving Lunch following the service on Sunday October 13. The breakfast was hosted as usual by Bob Schimpf, Peter Dittman and , and fed twenty-one parishioners delicacies that included a sumptuous mushroom stuffing.

The following day, nineteen people stayed after the service for Roast Turkey with gravy and stuffing, salad made from fresh home-grown greens and tomatoes, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, with apple and pumpkin pies for dessert. Many hands pitched in to make the lunch a success, with special thanks to friend-of-Emmanuel Carl who, as it turns out, is a master turkey-carver!
