Valentine’s Day Love … AND DINNER! Feb 14 at 6pm!

Valentine’s Day is notorious for being every man’s nightmare: either he’s buying a rose at the gas station on his way home, or discovering that even if he reserved a table for two a month ago — because every restaurant will be sold out on February 14 — menu prices have spiked astronomically for that one night.

But Valentine’s day is all about Love: not guilt and consumerism. Christ fills us with a different kind of love: Agape Love, not eros love. His gift of Agape Love overflows in our lives as unconditional generosity; in delighting in one-another regardless of the shape of our relationships. Agape Love includes not just devoted couples but groups of close friends, extended families, individuals.

So Emmanuel will host Agape Cafe this Friday 14 February, opening our doors to our neighbours and every person in our fellowship. You are all invited to a lavish 4-course meal — free, of course — on Friday at 6pm.
