Vision & Beliefs
Our Vision
Our Purpose… is to reach out and guide people to Jesus.
What We Believe
We Lutherans believe that the Bible is the Word of God and is the Christian’s only authority for faith and life. Our high regard for the Bible is demonstrated through our emphasis on its preaching and teaching each week. We are a confessional church. These confessions are statements of belief recorded in the Book of Concord which interprets the Bible’s teaching for our lives. We also believe God communicates His love to us through His gifts of baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We worship the Triune God as one God revealing Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. People are brought into a right relationship with Jesus Christ by grace alone through faith alone and not by human effort, achievement or good works. This means that salvation is God’s gift received by trusting only in all that Jesus accomplished for us by His sacrificial death on the cross. All Christians are called to serve God through their vocations. Our faith is always active in love (Galatians 5:6). We share the good news of God’s love with our words as well as our actions by responding to human need everywhere. We aren’t perfect but saints and sinners at one and the same time. As forgiven sinners we strive to become more and more who we are in Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit.
